WHAT WE BELIEVE
At Crossroads United Pentecostal Church, we believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. Everything we teach and practice is founded upon the Scriptures. Our desire is to faithfully follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Apostles as recorded in God's Word.
-
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the final authority for faith, doctrine, and daily living.

2 Peter 1:20–21
Psalm 119:105
-
We believe there is one eternal God. He has revealed Himself as Father in creation, Son in redemption, and Holy Ghost in regeneration. These are not three separate persons, but three manifestations of the one true God.
Jesus Christ is the fullness of the Godhead manifested in the flesh.

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose again on the third day, ascended into heaven, and will one day return for His Church.
Salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone.
Scripture
John 1:1–14
Acts 4:12
Colossians 1:15–20

We believe every person must respond to the Gospel through faith and obedience to God's Word. The New Testament pattern for salvation is clearly taught in Acts 2:38.
The biblical plan of salvation includes:
Repentance
Repentance is turning away from sin and turning toward God with sincere faith.
Scripture
Luke 13:3
Acts 3:19
Acts 17:30
Water Baptism in Jesus' Name
We believe believers should be baptized by immersion in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, following the example of the apostles.
Scripture
Acts 2:38
Acts 8:16
Acts 10:48
Acts 19:5
Romans 6:3–4
Colossians 2:12
Receiving the Holy Ghost
We believe the gift of the Holy Ghost is available to every believer today. The initial biblical evidence of receiving the Holy Ghost is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
Scripture
Acts 2:1–4
Acts 2:38–39
Acts 10:44–48
Acts 19:1–6
Mark 16:17
-
We believe God calls His people to live holy, separated, and Spirit-led lives. Holiness is both an inward transformation and an outward expression of a life surrendered to Christ.
Our desire is not merely to follow rules but to honor God in every area of life through obedience, humility, purity, love, and Christlike character.
Scripture
Romans 12:1–2
2 Corinthians 7:1
Hebrews 12:14
1 Peter 1:15–16
Galatians 5:22–23
-
We believe biblical worship is joyful, passionate, and Spirit-led. Throughout Scripture, God's people worshiped with singing, praise, lifted hands, prayer, thanksgiving, clapping, and other expressions of reverence and celebration.
Our worship is centered on glorifying Jesus Christ and creating an atmosphere where lives can be transformed by His presence.
Scripture
Psalm 47:1
Psalm 95:1–7

Psalm 150
John 4:23–24
